Rihanna
Robyn Rihanna fenty, also referred to as Rihanna by the Barbadians is a singer/songwriter. Her hits include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular artist, who has sold over 41 million albums across the globe as well as more than 150 million tracks. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae music and began singing when she was quite young. The singer was disturbed by the turmoil in her family, and by the frequent disagreements with her father. She decided to get involved in music. In her teens she joined a rock group. Evan Rodgers auditioned her and was extremely impressed. The producer asked her to move into New York in order to pursue a full-time career as a performer, something she readily accepted. The debut album of Rihanna quickly went viral and was described as the next big thing in music. She was a favorite amongst the youth for her peppy dance music, which was a hit. The result was Rihanna becoming a director. Pretty young and highly talented her name is today considered an teen idol as well as a fashion icon. Rihanna is a good steward of her celebrity and has been able to support many charity causes.
