Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American producer and actress. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer. She is active in films theater and on television. She started acting on stage and then appeared in independent, mainstream and TV series. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered reviews, and she also took home a variety of accolades. She began her career acting in 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. Apart from the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In television, her role in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
