Antonia's Lofaso invites you to explore her inner world through the cuisine she creates. Her interest in food after moving from the suburbs of Long Island to the diverse culture in Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas mingling on the same menu is her ideology. Each of her dishes is filled with her unique outlook for the future but also with a nostalgic look at the old. Motivated by her American-born Italian heritage, Lofaso established Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 that was immediately a hit. Lofaso's old-school Italian rendition is widely regarded as one of Los Angeles' most captivating dining establishments. Lofaso is consistently praised by Scopa's patrons because the food is real and utterly satisfying. Lofaso was trained by famous chefs and mastered their methods, yet she was not unwilling to follow her gut instincts. In a short time, Lofaso rose to the highest level in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Later she worked with a variety of famous people and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso collaborated together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar Black Market Liquor Bar, an upscale bar located within Studio City. She was able to secure a place within Black Market as well as her partnerships. Lofaso would find the freedom to express her creativity that she desired through this collaboration. Black Market has no one plan in sight and it is that way. The course could start with dill potato chips and shishito peppers, followed by a lobster roll Korean wings and a succession of meatballs. Antonia's distinctive flavors form the foundation of these bold combination. Lofaso in her entire professional career, has evaluated her the success of her show by how she knows her target audience. Also, she stays in the same place she was. Her unforgettable performance of Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her uniqueness outside of the kitchen. Her talents continue to shine in front of cameras as a Judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup and in regular appearances on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso joined forces together with Penguin at the end of 2012 in order to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook, 100 Recipes to prepare Delicious Home-cooked Meals. The book tells her story about the obstacles she faced while studying at her first French Culinary Institute and raising her daughter Xea. Lofaso believes that all her success is due to her passion cooking, and she's able to keep a finger in the middle of the industry through her work on the kitchen.
